Erisos ( Greek Έρισος , formerly Erissos Έρισσος ( m. Sg. )) Was a municipality on the island of Kefalonia until 2010 . It mainly comprised the northern peninsula of the same name. The seat of the community was in Vasilikades (Βασιλικιάδες), but the small ports of Fiskardo and Asos and the beach of Myrtos, which Erisos shared with Pylaros , are important and better known . With the administrative reform in 2010, Erisos was absorbed into the newly created municipality of Kefalonia , in which it has since formed a municipality.
The community had a certain importance and independence in antiquity, only the construction of a paved road through the area of the community at the beginning of the 19th century connected it more closely to the rest of the island.
