history
Erisweiler was first mentioned in 1248 when a Bernold von Rieden donated a hoof to Erisweiler to the Ottobeuren monastery. The lords of Ellerbach , who were the landlords of Neuburg from 1348 , owned a farm in Erisweiler from 1406. The manorial estate is believed to have originally been owned by the bishopric of Augsburg , which was the fief owner of the castle stable until secularization . In 1492 Erisweiler belonged to the Margraviate of Burgau with three ursbergic fireplaces . At the beginning of the 16th century the Premonstratensian Monastery of Ursberg owned a farm and six Sölden in the village. In 1749 the Vöhlin -Hohenraunau rule had two farms in Erischweiller.
