Halbertshofen is a district of the market Neuburg an der Kammel in the district of Günzburg in Bavaria .

location

The village is located in the Kammeltal , about one kilometer south of Neuburg an der Kammel and can be reached via the eastward state road 2024 .

history

The name of the place goes back to the Alemannic name Halpret . Halbertshofen was first mentioned in a document in 1397, when Heinrich von Ellerbach , who owned the Neuburg rulership at that time, sold a farm in "Halbrachtszhofen" to Hans den Füssinger in Ulm.

In 1524 the place went to Erhart Vöhlin zu Frickenhausen. Since the early 16th century, the Ursberg monastery owned a farm in "Halperzhofen" as a fiefdom of the Neuburg lordship.
