Naichen is a district of the Markt Neuburg an der Kammel in the district of Günzburg in Bavaria .

The village is located in the Kammeltal , just under two kilometers north of Neuburg an der Kammel. In the south the Haselbach flows into the Kammel. It consists of Unteraichen and the smaller Obernaichen about 400 m away. The state road in 2024 Neuburg after Burgau crosses both districts.

history

Naichen was also called Aichhöfe or Eichhöfe. In 1335 Jakob von Billenhausen handed over a property to "Aychen" to the Edelstetten monastery . According to the income register of the Ursberg Monastery from 1384, two farms in Naichen belonged to the church in Langenhaslach.

Obernaichen

The Ulm citizens Heinrich and Jos Besserer bought the Vogteirecht of the upper court in Naichen from Konrad Hötsch von Blaichen in 1427 and sold this court in 1444 to the Edelstetten monastery. In 1652 the Obernaichen farm was divided into two farms. These remained in the monastery property until secularization .

Unteraichen

Unteraichen was a fiefdom of the Margraviate of Burgau and had high jurisdiction . In 1572 the place was awarded to Karl Welser . After his death in 1587 the fief was passed on to the brothers Karl and Jaroslaw von Kolowrat , who sold it to Ferdinand Vöhlin von Frickenhausen auf Neuburg in 1588 . Ludwig Karl Vöhlin sold Unterstaichen in 1719 to Wettenhausen Monastery , where it remained until secularization.

Chapel in Naichen

Naichen was part of the independent municipality of Langenhaslach until the municipal area reform . On May 1, 1978, both were incorporated into the community of Neuburg an der Kammel.
