Erkki Pakkanen
Erkki Olavi Pakkanen (born April 19, 1930 in Elimäki , † April 23, 1973 in Kouvola ) was a Finnish amateur boxer (lightweight). He was bronze medalist at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki .
Pakkanen suffered a 3-0 defeat in the semifinals against the eventual Olympic champion Aureliano Bolognesi from Italy . In the end he won the bronze medal behind Bolognesi, Aleksy Antkiewicz from Poland and together with Gheorghe Fiat from Romania .
In 1952 he also took third place at the Finnish boxing championships.
