The previous building, a chapel-like simple wooden church , fell victim to a town fire in 1692 .
In 1706 a half-timbered church was completed and consecrated. The simple church has a roof turret for the bell . In 1770 the local organ builders Michael and Johannes Wagner replaced the lost organ . The organ prospectus comes from the Kreuzkirche in Dresden . The cracked bells were poured over and hung in the new belfry of a half-timbered tower.
In 1812 the church was re-boarded and slate was added on the weather side . In 1831 it was expanded as part of a total renovation. In 1862 the clapboard covering was replaced by a full slate. In 1931 the front of the church was reconstructed so that the ridge could carry the bells again.
In 1954 a community room was set up under the organ gallery.
In 1956 three new steel bells were hung. In 1990 an interior renovation took place. In 1993 the community donated a radio clock and bell system . The lead glazing of the windows has recently been renovated.
