The NEMO bathing, sauna and fitness world is located in the state capital Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt . It opened in 1999 under the name Nemo - Die Wasserwelt , the same year that the Federal Garden Show took place in Magdeburg's Elbauenpark . The architect was Gilles Edenne. Two years after opening, Nemo had to file for bankruptcy and was sold in late 2001. The new owner renamed the bathroom Nautica . On July 6, 2015 it was announced that the adventure pool Nautica has filed for bankruptcy. A case of illness in the management was given as a rather unusual reason for the bankruptcy. Another change of operator took place in 2016. Since then, the adventure pool has had its original name again.
location
The adventure pool in the Herrenkrug district is located directly on Jerichower Straße ( B 1 ). The tram stop Messegelände / Elbauenpark is located on Herrenkrugstraße and can be reached via lines 5 and 6 and bus line 51. In the vicinity of the Nemos are the Elbauenpark , the Herrenkrugpark , the Magdeburg trade fair and the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences .

The adventure pool has a large water world with indoor and outdoor areas, a sauna area and a fitness area. In June 2014 the Nemo got its own beach area in the outdoor area of the adventure pool. There are three restaurants in the entire bathroom. An outdoor / indoor restaurant, a sauna cafe and a terrace, suitable for summer use. 120 covered parking spaces are available in the in-house parking garage for guests.
It also has the Pearl Club , a disco in the swimming pool tower with space for 600 guests. It has three levels, four bars, two dance floors and its own laser show.
Water world
The water world of the Nemos offers an indoor and outdoor area. The indoor area has a 490 m² fun pool, equipped with a whitewater canal, bubble loungers, a whirlpool and various water geysers. Right next to it is a standard 25 m swimming pool with three lanes. The so-called children's water world has a children's pool and a toddler slide in the shape of a snake. The Nemo has two large slides, a so-called 80 m long turbo slide and a 100 m long adventure slide.
The outdoor area of the swimming pool has an outdoor swimming pool of around 200 m² and a 560 m² adventure pool with a water play world consisting of smaller slides and geysers. There is also a lawn for sunbathing, as well as a summer terrace, a volleyball field and the outdoor beach club, which opened in 2014.
Sauna world
The sauna world has a total of 6 saunas (infusion sauna with fireplace, log cabin sauna, hay sauna, sanarium, rasul steam bath and steam sauna). There is also a massage room with a variety of massage options, a cold pool with whirlpool, a lounging and relaxation area, a sun terrace and solariums.
Fitness world
The fitness world offers a fitness and therapy area with various offers, including aquarobics, power pumps, Nordic walking, spinal exercises, bodyforming, Pilates and yoga.
