The Erlichbach rises on the southern flank of the Rosenbühl 1.5 km northeast of Gefell . It crosses the town of Gefell and the village of Dobareuth in a southerly direction. The Steinbach flows into Dobareuth . From here the stream flows in a south-westerly direction until it flows into the Saale in Hirschberg .
