Erlis is a district of the Upper Swabian market Markt Rettenbach in the Unterallgäu district in Bavarian Swabia .

location

Erlis is about four kilometers northeast of the main town of Markt Rettenbach, with which it is connected by the 2013 state road . The Auerbach flows west of Erlis . The corridors around the village are used for agriculture.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1437 when the Leutkircher family from Memmingen bought it. In 1544 this sold the clergy to the lower hospital in Memmingen. The hamlet went to Hans Funk in 1474, who sold it to Hans Ehinger in 1527. He sold the place to Hans Vöhlin in 1546, until it was finally sold to Jakob Fugger in 1584 . With the Rheinbund act 1806 the place came to Gottenau . This community was incorporated into the Markt Markt Rettenbach on May 1, 1978.
