Ernest Brezovszky

Ernest Brezovszky (born November 30, 1927 in Untersiebenbrunn , † July 17, 2003 in Vienna ) was an Austrian federal civil servant and politician ( SPÖ ). Brezovszky was a member of the Lower Austria regional parliament and a regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government .

Life

Brezovszky attended the grammar school in Horn after elementary school, but had to interrupt his schooling due to military service in World War II. Brezovszky completed his school education after the end of World War II in Vienna and subsequently studied law at the University of Vienna . Brezovszky graduated with the degree Dr. jur. and joined the Federal Ministry for Social Administration in 1952.

Brezovszky was elected deputy mayor in 1975 and held the office of mayor of Gänserndorf between 1978 and 1980 . Brezovszky was also district chairman of the SPÖ from 1971 and 1979 and represented the SPÖ from November 19, 1964 to April 19, 1979 in the Lower Austrian state parliament. He held the function of club chairman and was also deputy SPÖ regional party chairman. Between April 19, 1979 and July 11, 1991 Brezovszky was regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government. He became known to a broader public when he was concerned with the nature conservation authority approval of the Hainburg Danube power plant in 1984 .

Brezovszky was buried at Sieveringer Friedhof (Department 2, Group 12, Number 54) in Vienna.
