The Sieveringer cemetery is a cemetery in the district part Sievering 19th Viennese municipal district Döbling .

location and size

The Sieveringer Friedhof is located between Nottebohmstrasse and Hackenberg . There are 5,299 grave sites on an area of ​​37,152 square meters.

history

The Sieveringer Friedhof was built on a hilltop of the Hackenberg and opened in August 1883. Right from the start, the complex had a gravedigger's apartment and a mortuary with a dissecting room. Use was open to all denominations. In 1884 the first of several extensions was decided.
