Ernest Walter Brooks
Ernest Walter Brooks (born August 30, 1863 in Hambledon , Hampshire , † March 26, 1955 in Milford on Sea ) was an English syrologist.
Life
From October 1883 he studied at King's College (Cambridge) (MA 1890). After leaving Cambridge , he moved to London , where he worked as an independent scholar at the British Museum, mainly researching Byzantine history from the 7th to 9th centuries.
