Ernst-Ludwig Wagner

Ernst-Ludwig Wagner (born July 20, 1950 in Mainzlar ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ).

The trained machine fitter acquired the qualification of a state-certified mechanical engineering technician on a second educational path and worked in business until he entered full-time politics in 1987. He is married and has three daughters.

From 1987 to 2003, Wagner was a directly elected member of the Marburg-Biedenkopf- West constituency in the Hessian state parliament . Before that, he had been a local politician in his home town of Angelburg since 1977 . In the Marburg-Biedenkopf district he was a member of the district council from 1993 to 2006 . Since 2001 he has held the position of honorary first alderman in his home parish.

After leaving state politics, he took on the role of regional manager for the Lahn-Dill-Bergland region .

In 2012 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
