Ernst deck

Ernst Deck (born June 24, 1905 in Mannheim , † April 3, 1993 in Munich ) was a German entrepreneur, honorary professor of the TH Munich and honorary senator of the University of Karlsruhe (TH) .

Life

Ernst Deck, son of Peter Deck and Anna geb. Spiegel, studied from 1926 at what was then the Technical University in Karlsruhe and became a member of the Teutonia fraternity . In 1930 he passed the diploma exam. First he worked at Siemens and from 1934 at Dyckerhoff & Widmann in Berlin . In 1945 he became head of machine administration and in 1959 director. From 1963 Deck had a teaching position at the Technical University of Munich in the field of construction machinery and from January 29, 1970 a position as honorary professor.

In October 1969, Deck was made an honorary senator based on a unanimous decision by the Senate of the University of Karlsruhe (TH).

Together with the Main Association of the German Construction Industry , he was committed to deepening contacts between practice and science. He was a member of the main association's equipment committee for more than 10 years as chairman.
