Ernst Eisenmann

Ernst Eisenmann (born February 5, 1928 in Gärtnershof , Rems-Murr-Kreis ; † May 21, 2016 ) was a German trade unionist .

Life

Ernst Eisenmann was a trained mechanic and from 1953 to 1961 works council at the Spintex company in Murrhardt . From 1956 Ernst Eisenmann was a member of the SPD . From 1961 to 1968 he was union secretary of IG Metall Waiblingen and worked for the board administration in Frankfurt, afterwards Ernst Eisenmann worked until 1981 as secretary of the IG Metall district management in Baden-Württemberg and from 1983 to 1988 he was the successor to Franz Steinkühler district manager of IG Metall Baden-Württemberg. In this role he played a key role in the enforcement of the 35-hour week in the 1984 collective bargaining dispute.

Ernst Eisenmann was married and had a son.

In the 1970s and 1980s he was a member of the board of the Mannheimer Motorenwerke, Iveco, SEL and Porsche and from 1995 he was a member of the board of the transfer company MYPEGASUS .

On May 14, 2001, he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
