Ernst Erich Müller (born September 5, 1912 in Dresden , † August 16, 1972 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter .

life and work

He had lived in Vienna since he was two. While working as a draftsman at a company, he attended evening nude courses at the Vienna School of Applied Arts with Anton von Kenner . He later studied at the University of Applied Arts and at the Academy of Fine Arts under Josef Dobrowsky (diploma 1959).

For the Salvador-Allende-Hof from 1963–1968, Müller designed abstract, decorative sgraffito wall panels for the staircase axes of the apartment blocks . For the Angeligasse / Troststrasse / Wirergasse building in Vienna's 10th district, he made two sgraffito murals (24 × 2 m and 27 × 2 m) with the title "Plants and Animals of the Laaerberg" in 1955/1956 . For the building Weisenböckstraße / Simmeringer Hauptstraße / Lorystraße in XI. District he also created decorative sgraffito wall panels in 1965/1968.

He was a member of the Hagenbund and from 1953 the artist group Der Kreis . Müller worked as a freelance painter in Vienna.

Participation in numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad.
