Ernst Gottlieb (Anhalt-Plötzkau)
Ernst Gottlieb von Anhalt-Plötzkau (born September 4, 1620 in Plötzkau ; † March 7, 1654 in Plötzkau) from the Ascanian dynasty was Prince of Anhalt-Plötzkau .
Life
Ernst Gottlieb was the eldest son of Prince August von Anhalt-Plötzkau (1575–1653) from his marriage to Sibylle (1590–1659), daughter of Count Johann Georg zu Solms-Laubach .
He followed his father together with his two younger brothers Leberecht and Emanuel in 1653 in the government of Anhalt-Plötzkau. Ernst Gottlieb died the following year, seven months after his father, before his brothers inherited the Anhalt-Köthen line .
Ernst Gottlieb was a member of the Fruit-Bringing Society under the name of the strong , the image of the larch tree and the motto In his juice . His motto was:
- The Lord is my power and strength,
- he is who I sing about and close
- Bey to him I note help and consolation,
- He is my salvation and my confidence.
