Ernst Groeschel

Ernst Gröschel (born December 18, 1918 in Nuremberg ; † May 5, 2000 in Zams , Tyrol ) was a German pianist. Gröschel studied with Emil von Sauer in Vienna, among others. He is considered the first pianist to play Mozart and Beethoven entirely on historical keyboard instruments. He was a member of the Bamberg Piano Quartet. He left a large number of recordings both on vinyl and in the archives of Bavarian Radio.
