Ernst Halberstadt
Ernst Gustav Wolfgang Halberstadt (born June 4, 1829 in Leipzig ; † October 26, 1895 there ) was a cloth manufacturer and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Halberstadt attended Hander's Institute in Leipzig and Pastor Zehme's Institute in Städteln as well as the commercial school in Leipzig. he made extensive trips. From 1849 he was a merchant and factory owner in Görlitz under the company Ernst Halberstadt senior. From the end of the 1850s he was city councilor, city councilor and, at times, city councilor. From 1866 to 1889 he was a member of the Provincial Landtag and the Municipal Landtag of Silesia. Between 1877 and 1879 and from 1884 to 1893 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Liegnitz 5 Löwenberg and the German Progressive Party .
