Ernst Hutter

Ernst Hutter (born April 7, 1958 in Opfenbach near Lindau ) is a German musician , composer and arranger . He is the director of the Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten band .

Life

Hutter came into contact with brass music as a young child. From 1978 to 1984 he studied at the Stuttgart Music Academy . In 1985, while studying in Stuttgart, Hutter received his first professional job as the city music director in Herrenberg . He only had this position for a short time, as Ernst Mosch hired him to join his original Egerland musicians as a tenor horn player . In 1987 he also worked as a trombonist with Erwin Lehn in the then SDR dance orchestra .

After the death of Ernst Mosch in 1999, Hutter took over his legendary brass band as conductor, initially under the name Egerländer Musikanten , then as Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten . In September 2006 they gave another concert at Carnegie Hall in New York after 40 years .

Hutter is currently the lead trombonist with the SWR Big Band , as well as a member of the SWR Allstar Quintett, the Quattrobones trombone ensemble and the classic Stuttgart Brass Quartet. He also leads a jazz quartet under his own name.

In 2003, after four years of joint responsibility with Toni Scholl , Ernst Hutter succeeded the orchestra's founder, Ernst Mosch . Hutter played the tenor horn under his direction from 1985.
