Ernst Kühlbrandt (writer)

Ernst Kühlbrandt (born May 10, 1857 in Kronstadt , Grand Duchy of Transylvania , † September 3, 1933 there ) was a Transylvanian writer.

Life

Kühlbrandt attended secondary school in Kronstadt and Hermannstadt and from 1874 the Polytechnic in Graz . He completed his military service and trained as a drawing teacher in Stuttgart and Vienna from 1876 , which he completed in 1880. From 1883 he worked as a secondary school teacher and taught artistic and geometric drawing. Among other things belonged Margarete Depner there for his students. Later he was appointed director of the municipal trade school in Kronstadt.

Act

Kühlbrandt wrote numerous lyrical works, especially sayings and didactic poems . They were mainly published in the magazine " Die Karpathen " (bi-monthly publication for culture and life) published by Adolf Meschendörfer . In addition, he also wrote editorials , poems and feature pages for the “Kronstädter Tageblatt”.
