Ernst Koehler

Ernst Koehler (born August 18, 1890 in Bornheim , † May 26, 1972 in Bad Dürkheim ) was a German winemaker and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Koehler attended the Bornheim elementary school, the upper secondary school and the Progymnasium in Alzey up to primary school. He then worked in his parents' farm and winemaker in Kallstadt an der Weinstrasse.

In 1945 he became a member of the SPD and in the same year mayor of Kallstadt. In addition, he was a member of the district and community assembly. In 1951 he was elected to the second Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged for an electoral term until 1955. In the state parliament he was a member of the agricultural policy committee and the viticulture and wine industry committee.
