Omid Majdani

Omid Majdani Shabestari ( Persian امید مجدانی شبستری; * April 26, 1971 in Tehran , Iran ) is a German ENT doctor and professor .

Life

Omid Majdani is the son of the Iranian general a. D. Jamshid Majdani Shabestari and his wife Akhtar Varzandeh Shabestrai, teacher and seamstress. He attended the Don Bosco School in Tehran from 1977 to 1980 , then the Sahel Elementary School until 1982 and then the Andisheh High School in Tehran until 1985. In June 1985 he came to Berlin, where he completed his education at the Schiller-Gymnasium Berlin in 1991.

From 1991 to 1994 he studied medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg up to the Physikum and 1st state examination and then at the Free University of Berlin (FU Berlin), today's Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, up to the 2nd state examination in August 1997. On December 5, 1998, he passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination Level 1 and previously, on October 8, the 3rd state examination with the grade "very good". He completed his practical years from October 1997 to January 1998 at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic Surgery , then from February 1998 to February 1998 in cardiac and thoracic surgery and traumatology from Yale University , from March to May 1998 in general surgery and head and neck surgery at the University of California , from June to September 1988 in the St. Joseph Hospital Tempelhof in the internal medicine department. As an intern he worked from December 1998 to the end of June 1999 in the Department of General, Visceral, Reconstructive and Vascular Surgery at the Schlosspark Clinic , and from July 1900 to the end of May 2000 at the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and neck surgery at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and worked there as an assistant doctor from June 2000 . In 2002 he received his doctorate from the Institute for Pathology at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital on the structure of the bony implant bed after morphometry, biopsy and autopsy cases at the Free University of Berlin.

From 2004 to 2007 he was a senior physician at the MHH, clinic for ear, nose and throat medicine. He completed his habilitation in 2010 with the subject of a navigation-guided and robot-assisted cochlear implant operation based on FdVCT data . From 2010 to 2012 he was the managing senior physician at the ENT clinic of the MHH. From 2012 to 2016 he was the senior physician at the ENT clinic at MHH. Since 2016 he has been the chief physician of the ENT clinic at Wolfsburg Clinic .

Majdani is a member of the German Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, Head and Neck Surgery , the German Society for Audiology , the North German Society for Otorhinolaryngology, the CURAC (German Society for Computer and Robot-Assisted Surgery; there Member of the Scientific Advisory Board), the European Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ESPO) as well as member and deputy chairman of the Advisory Board "Intelligent Implants" of the VDE-VDI (on behalf of the BMBF).
