Ernst Krappe

Ernst Krappe (born October 31, 1891 in Soest , † May 12, 1977 in Minden in Westphalia) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and high school, Krappe studied law, political science and economics at the Universities of Lausanne , Munich and Berlin . In 1914 he passed the first state examination in law. In the following four years he took part in the First World War as a field artilleryman and orderly officer at Artillery Command 232 , in which he fought on the western and eastern fronts and was awarded the Iron Cross 1st class. After the end of the war, Krappe resumed his studies. In 1920 he received his doctorate in Breslau to Dr. jur. In 1921 the 2nd state examination followed. In the following years Krappe worked as head of the tax office (councilor) in Lemgo . Krappe married in 1922.

In 1929 Krappe joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). In 1931 he became a district economics officer in the Gau Westfalen Nord. A year later, in 1932, he was given the post of district inspector for the NSDAP and a district speaker for economic issues . In the Reichstag election in July 1932 , Krappe was elected as a candidate of the NSDAP for constituency 17 (North Westphalia) in the Reichstag , of which he belonged for almost four months until the Reichstag election in November of the same year. Following the state election in the Free State of Lippe-Detmold on January 15, 1933 , when Krappe was elected to the Lippe state parliament, Krappe was elected Prime Minister of Lippe on February 7 by the new state parliament . On May 26, 1933, he was released on his own request.
