Ernst Ludwig von Lenthe

Ernst Ludwig von Lenthe , also Louis von Lenthe (born November 22, 1823 in Knesebeck , † February 7, 1888 in Hanover ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag .

Lenthe studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1846 and joined the Corps Lunaburgia there. After completing his training, he became an in-house counsel in Lüneburg . In 1856 he became a member of the first chamber of the Hanover Parliament, in 1864 second general syndic, and in 1868 an appellate judge in Celle . In 1871 he became a member of the Reichstag for the German-Hanover Party in the constituency of the Province of Hanover 9 (Wennigsen-Calenberg-Münder-Hameln). In the Reichstag he sat in on the center group . After he lost the election in 1873, he won the constituency back in a by-election in 1876, which had become necessary because of the death of MP August Brande . In 1877 he won the constituency again in a by-election and was a member of the Reichstag until 1884, then again from 1887 to 1893.
