Ernst Philipp (Major General)

Ernst Georg Kurt Philipp (born October 13, 1912 in Senitz, Lower Silesia , † 2005 ) was a German officer , most recently major general in the Bundeswehr .

Life

Philipp served in the army during the Second World War , as an officer in the armored force , among other things in the general staff of the 8th Army and in the Army Group South .

In 1952 Philipp was appointed to the Blank office (later the Federal Ministry of Defense ) as a tank specialist. In the Bundeswehr he was, among other things, commander of the Combat Troop School II .
