Ernst Probst

Ernst Probst (born January 20, 1946 in Neunburg vorm Wald ) is a German science journalist and author.

Life

Probst completed his training as a typesetter in Nuremberg from 1960 to 1963 ; he worked in this profession until 1968. After an internship, he worked as an editor for various newspapers from 1970 . From 1973 to 2001 he worked for the Allgemeine Zeitung in Mainz.

Probst published popular science books on the prehistory , stone age , bronze age and dinosaurs in Germany . Parallel to his journalistic activities with a focus on astronomy , geology , palaeontology , zoology and anthropology , he worked as a publisher and fossil and antiques dealer from 2001 to 2006 .
