Ernst Ramdohr

Ernst Ramdohr (born April 14, 1839 in Clausthal ; † January 4, 1922 ) was a German high school teacher and parliamentarian .

Life

Ernst Claus Hans Philipp Ramdohr studied philology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . In 1858 he became a member of the Corps Friso-Luneburgia Göttingen .

After graduation and the doctorate to Dr. phil. he entered the teaching post . From 1863 to 1867 he was a teacher at the Johanneum Lüneburg , from 1867 to 1871 in Hanover and from 1871 to 1876 in Attendorn. In 1876 he moved to Jever , where he became director of the Mariengymnasium . From autumn 1879 to 1881 he took over the education of the orphaned Otto Erich Hartleben , whose father had been his personal friend.

From August 12, 1887 to March 31, 1911, Ramdohr was director of the Leibniz School in Hanover .

Since a by-election on September 26, 1906 to 1908, Ramdohr sat as a member of the constituency of Hanover 4 (city district of Hanover) in the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1907 to 1911 he was a member of the Central Executive Committee of the National Liberal Party . In stenographic transcripts of the 1913 meetings he is listed as a member of the Free Conservative Party .
