Ernst Stahnke

Ernst Stahnke (born October 10, 1887 in Reetz , Rügen ; † October 27, 1976 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) was a German surgeon.

Career

Stahnke studied medicine in Heidelberg, Berlin and Rostock, where he received his doctorate in 1914. In Heidelberg he was a member of the Corps Rhenania . In 1924 he qualified as a professor at the University of Würzburg in surgery and was appointed professor there. He later came to the St. Marien Hospital in Ludwigshafen, where he was the chief physician of the surgical department.
