Ernst Tannert

Ernst Tannert (born May 3, 1866 in Dresden , † after 1915) was a German landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Tannert studied painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1884 to 1894 . There were Heinrich Lauenstein , Hugo Crola , Adolf Schill , Peter Janssen the Elder and especially the landscape painter Eugen Dücker his teachers. Tannert stayed in Dücker's landscape class from 1888 to 1894. In 1894/1895 he received a painting grant from the Aders Tönnies Foundation . As early as 1891 he was represented at exhibitions of the Berlin Artists' Association and the gallery of Eduard Schulte . In 1899 he was represented at Schulte with landscapes. In 1915 he still lived in Düsseldorf.
