Ernst Thomas Maria Reimbold

Ernst Thomas Maria Reimbold (born March 4, 1907 in Rodenkirchen near Cologne, today Cologne-Rodenkirchen ; † May 14, 1994 ibid) was a German sculptor , religious scholar and symbol researcher who has published numerous artistic and literary works.

Ernst Thomas Reimbold was born in Cologne as the son of the Cologne factory owner Ernst Reimbold. His uncle was the district administrator and district president Adolf Varain . In his second marriage he was born with Regine. Baroness Teuffel of Birkensee married. From this marriage there were three children.

Life

Reimbold studied 1926-1929 jurisprudence at the University of Lausanne , at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg , the Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Cologne . In 1930 he passed his first state examination in law in Cologne and then trained as a trainee lawyer until 1933 . In 1932 he was at the University of Cologne to Dr. jur. PhD. He passed the Great State Examination in 1934 in Berlin and became a court assessor there. He then enrolled as a trainee at the Art Academy in Berlin-Charlottenburg and concluded his first marriage in 1937 , which resulted in a son. He changed the subject and studied from 1940 to 1942 at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf , where he became a master student . From 1942 he worked as a freelance sculptor. When the Second World War broke out, however, he was drafted into military service, which was followed by wounding, imprisonment and flight. After the war he resumed his work and founded the Reimbold-von Teuffel studio and ceramic workshop. In 1948 he became a member of the Association of Visual Artists in North Rhine-Westphalia and was its first chairman from 1965 to 1970. In 1949 he married Regine Freiin Teuffel von Birkensee for the second time. From this marriage there were three children. Between 1956 and 1968 he was the re-founder and two-time AHV chairman of the Société d'Étudiants Germania Lausanne , which made him an honorary member in 1962. From 1956 to 1961 he studied at the University of Bonn (including comparative law ), where he received his doctorate in 1966. phil. received his doctorate. From 1970 to 1980 he was chairman of the Society for Scientific Research on Symbols and was there from 1972 to 1982 editor of the yearbook "Symbolon". Until 1993 he created numerous artistic works, such as church windows and sculptures, and wrote many literary works.
