Ernst Turowski , (born October 7, 1906 in Sawadden ( East Prussia ), † October 20, 1986 in Bad Münstereifel ) was a German SS-Sturmbannführer and head of the science department at the Reich Security Main Office .

Life

Ernst Turowski was the son of a farmer. After graduating from high school, he studied history and political science. In 1933 he joined the SA , in 1935 the SS. In 1937 Turowski received his doctorate with a dissertation on the development of Polish Prussia and its status in relation to Poland in the 15th and 16th centuries. Century.

In the SS Turowski rose to SS-Sturmbannführer in 1941. After the war Turowski lived in Iserlohn and Hanover and later became branch manager of a building society in Hanover. Turowski died in 1986 in a senior citizen center in Bad Münstereifel.
