Ernst Uhsemann

Ernst Uhsemann (born June 9, 1882 in Weißenfels , † May 1, 1945 in Stralsund ) was a German homeland researcher and rector .

Life

Uhsemann's father was a master brewer in Weißenfels. Ernst Uhsemann attended the preparatory institute and the teachers' college in Weißenfels from 1896 to 1902 . He then worked for three years as a teacher in Kölleda and then in the preparation of future teachers' studies. In 1910 he became the royal seminar leader in Neuhaldensleben . There he teaches pedagogy , history and drawing . In addition, Uhsemann worked as the principal of a seminar practice school and as a teacher at a secondary school for girls.

In 1912 Uhsemann applied for the post of rector at the Stralsund boys' secondary school in Mühlenstrasse ; he was selected and began on October 1, 1912 in Stralsund; his annual salary was 3560 marks. The nine-level middle school he directed had around 900 students at the time.

Uhsemann was also active as a local researcher in Stralsund and published books and articles about Stralsund.

In 1933 Uhsemann joined the National Socialist Teachers' Association , the National Socialist People's Welfare and the National Socialist Motor Corps .

The district association of the National Socialist Teachers' Association operated its replacement because of alleged alcohol problems, which, however, was unsuccessful.

On May 1, 1945, the day the Red Army marched into Stralsund, Uhsemann and his wife killed themselves.
