Ernst von Bertouch

Ernst Johann Albrecht von Bertouch (born August 26, 1821 in Slagelse , Denmark, † February 23, 1904 in Wiesbaden ) was a Danish-German civil servant, historian and publicist.

Life

Ernst Johann Albrecht von Bertouch was born as the son of Stanislaw von Bertouch (1790–1867), who last worked as a customs administrator in Ottensen near Hamburg , and Isabelle von Dorrien (1795–1831). He studied law at the Universities of Bonn , Berlin and Kiel . From 1853 he was Hardesvogt on Nordstrand ; In 1856 he was appointed chamberlain by the Danish king .

He later worked as a Prussian civil servant in Wiesbaden . He became the Royal Prussian Privy Councilor and Chamberlain appointed. In addition, he was active as a writer with works on the nobility and religious orders. He died on the day of his golden wedding in his house in Wiesbaden.
