Ernst von Schneider

Ernst Heinrich Paul Schneider also Knight von Schneider (born February 16, 1846 in Obernzenn , † June 12, 1914 in Munich ) was a German judge .

Life

After attending grammar schools in Bamberg and Ansbach, the son of a pastor studied law in Erlangen and Leipzig. During his studies in Erlangen he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity in the winter semester of 1863/64 . He passed the first state examination in 1867 with great success and worked as a legal intern in Ansbach and Rothenburg. In 1870 he passed the second state examination with great success. Then he worked as a trainee (auxiliary worker) in the notary's office and the legal profession. In 1879 he became a district judge in Hof, in 1886 a regional judge in Passau and in 1897 a higher regional judge in Bamberg. In 1899 he came to the Imperial Court. He worked in the 5th Civil Senate until his retirement in February 1914. He died of cardiac paralysis three months later.

He was married to a daughter of Attorney General German Ritter von der Pfordten (1830–1915). The couple had two daughters.
