The Munich-Eschenried motorway triangle (abbreviation: AD München-Eschenried ; short form: Munich-Eschenried triangle ) is a motorway triangle in Bavaria in the Munich metropolitan region . It connects the federal highway 8 ( Saarland  - Stuttgart  - Munich  - Salzburg ) with the federal highway 99a , which acts as a feeder to the Munich ring road .

geography

The motorway triangle lies in the city of Olching . The surrounding cities and communities are Dachau , Karlsfeld , Gröbenzell and the Bavarian capital Munich . It is located about 40 km southeast of Augsburg , about 20 km north of Starnberg and about 20 km northwest of Munich city center.

On the A 8 the motorway triangle has the junction number 79. The junction on the A 99a are not numbered.

State of development

The A 8 can be used in a southerly direction, just like the A 99a, on four lanes. The A 8 in the north has six lanes. All reconciliations are two-lane.

The triangle is laid out in the form of a normal fork . The missing routes Munich-A 99a and vice versa are served by the Munich-West junction .
