The Kreuz München-West (abbreviation: AK München-West ; short form: Kreuz München-West ) is a motorway junction in Bavaria in the Munich metropolitan region . This is where the federal highway 8 ( Saarland - Stuttgart - Munich - Salzburg ) and the federal highway 99 ( Munich ring road ) intersect .
geography
The motorway junction is located in the urban area of the Bavarian capital, Munich. The closest districts are Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied , Allach-Untermenzing and Pasing-Obermenzing . It is located about 45 km southeast of Augsburg , about 25 km north of Starnberg and about 12 km west of Munich city center.
The Munich-West motorway junction bears junction number 81 on the A 8 and number 8 on the A 99.
State of development
In this area, the A 8, just like the A 99, can be driven on 4 lanes. All transitions are single-lane.
The cross is laid out in the form of an incomplete clover leaf . The missing relations are served by the Eschenried brace . In 2012 these were built as service ramps.
Traffic volume
In 2015, the cross was one of the busiest road junctions in Bavaria with around 108,000 vehicles per day.
