The Saarbrücken motorway junction (abbreviation: AK Saarbrücken ; short form: Saarbrücken cross ) is a motorway junction in Saarland . This is where the federal motorway 1 ( Heiligenhafen  - Hamburg  - Cologne  - Saarbrücken ) ( Europastraße 422 ) and the federal motorway 8 (Saarland - Stuttgart  - Munich  - Salzburg ) intersect .

The cross lies in the area of ​​the communities Illingen and Heusweiler . Other surrounding towns and communities are Merchweiler and Quiigart . It is located around 15 kilometers north of Saarbrücken, 55 km southeast of Trier and around 15 km west of Neunkirchen .
