The Nonnweiler motorway triangle (abbreviation: AD Nonnweiler ; short form: Nonnweiler triangle ) is a motorway triangle in the north of the Saarland . The Federal Motorway 1 ( Heiligenhafen - Cologne - Saarbrücken ) ( Europastraße 422 ) is connected to the Federal Motorway 62 ( Nonnweiler - Pirmasens ).

The motorway triangle lies in the area of ​​the eponymous municipality of Nonnweiler, south of the Otzenhausen district and northeast of Mariahütte . The main town of Nonnweiler is northwest of the motorway triangle. It is located about 30 km southeast of Trier and about 40 km north of Saarbrücken.

Design and state of development

The triangle is designed as a motorway fork. Coming from the direction of Trier, the A 1 merges directly with the A 62, the A 1 in the direction of Saarbrücken branches off via a ramp. From Saarbrücken from the A 62 is only about the connection point reached "Nonnweiler-Otzenhausen". This junction is therefore number 2 on the A 62 and number 136 on the A 1.

The A 1, like the A 62, has two lanes. The transfers towards Saarbrücken are two-lane.
