Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied is the city ​​district 22 of the Bavarian capital Munich .

Of all Munich city districts, it is the largest (around 34 square kilometers) and the lowest population density (1,398 inhabitants per square kilometer). There are extensive green, forest and agricultural areas on its territory, which, together with the Aubinger Lohe and the Langwieder See and Böhmerweiher recreation areas, fulfill important balancing and recreational functions for the entire west of Munich.

Subdivision

District 22 contains three districts of Munich that used to be independent places. In 1942 they were forcibly incorporated into Munich by order .

The district committee of Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied was last elected on March 15, 2020. The distribution of seats is as follows: CSU 9, Greens 6, SPD 4, FW / ÖDP 3 and FDP 1. Public transportation

S-Bahn station Munich-Aubing

The district is currently (2017) connected to four lines of the Munich S-Bahn network with six stops :

  • The stations Langwied and Lochhausen are on the S3 line to Mammendorf .
  • The Leienfelsstraße and Aubing stations are on the S4 line to Geltendorf .
  • The Neuaubing station is on the S8 line to Herrsching . Moving out of town to Neuaubing, the Freiham station for the new district of the same name was opened on September 14, 2013 .
  • The Westkreuz station is on the S6 to Tutzing and on the S8.

All of the lines mentioned go into town via Pasing and Hauptbahnhof to Karlsplatz (Stachus) and Marienplatz . Several bus lines also open up the district, including the Metrobus line 57, which runs from Laimer Platz underground station via Pasing to Neuaubing West and on to Freihamer Bahnhof (S8). Since April 29, 2019 there has also been an X80 express connection at Lochhausen station in the direction of Moosach and Untermenzing or Puchheim, which forms a fast connection between S1, S2, S3 and S4. There are no underground or tram stops.
