Ernstfeld is a district of Kirchenthumbach , a market in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria .
Geographical location
Ernstfeld is about 1.5 km south of Kirchenthumbach . It is located on the southern edge of the Northern Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park and borders directly to the north on the Grafenwöhr military training area . Ernstfeld lies in a depression, surrounded by fields and forest sections. The so-called Brünnlebach , which feeds several small ponds, flows through the area of the district .
traffic
The B 470 federal road runs directly north of Ernstfeld and takes you to the A 93 motorway . Panzerstraße RG 301 runs south.
Architectural and site monuments
In the area of Ernstfeld there is the archeological site monument Burg Ernstfeld , of which a tower hill is still preserved. There is also a crossroads, a cast iron crucifix on an obelisk-like sandstone plinth, marked "1895" (file number D-3-74-129-17) and a two-storey steep roof with half-timbered gables and bevelled stone walls from the 17th century (file number D-3- 74-129-16) are listed as architectural monuments.
