Erwin Born
Erwin Born (born April 19, 1914 ; † January 11, 2011 ) was a German conductor .
Life
Born was Kapellmeister at the Staatstheater Kassel . In 1970 he went to Tokyo University of the Arts as a visiting professor for two years . Later he was a university lecturer for conducting, choir and orchestra training in Munich .

- 1978: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany
