Erwin Chvojka

Erwin Chvojka (born February 16, 1924 in Vienna ; † January 12, 2013 there ) was an Austrian literary scholar and the founding chairman of the Theodor Kramer Society .

Chvojka's apprenticeship was initially severely affected by the Nazi regime . After being banned from studying for seven years, he studied German , English and history at the University of Vienna . He then worked as a teacher at various Viennese high schools. From 1975 to 1989 he was director of the Bundesgymnasium Vienna XVI.

Chvojka was the author of various school books and has written numerous publications on literary and historical topics. Chvojka was the administrator and publisher of his estate, appointed by Theodor Kramer himself.
