Erwin Conradi

Erwin Conradi (born February 12, 1935 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German manager. From 1996 to 2000 he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Metro AG .

Life

Conradi studied industrial engineering, worked for IBM from 1959 and for the Metro group from 1971.

From 1996 to 2000 he was chairman of the supervisory board after Kaufhof Holding AG, Deutsche SB-Kauf AG, ASKO Deutsche Kaufhaus AG and the Cash & Carry division had merged to form the new METRO AG. He had to leave the board of directors in 2000 after losing power against the board of directors. In autumn 2004 he was dismissed from all positions by Otto Beisheim , the founder of the Metro Group. The reasons are not known.

On January 23, 1999, the Faculty of Philosophy, Economics and Social Sciences at the Technical University of Braunschweig awarded him an honorary doctorate. In 2002 he received the German Retail Prize in the Lifetime Award category .

Since 2007 Conradi has been managing director of Medical One Holding GmbH, chairman of the supervisory board of the Medical One AG clinic group based in Grünwald and msg systems AG based in Ismaning near Munich, as well as chairman of the board of the Swiss Sensile Medical AG, which specializes in the development of pumps for the administration of Drugs busy.

Together with Dieter Bock , who died in 2010 , Conradi was a partner in Octavian Hotel Holding GmbH (part of Octavian King Holdings in Rotterdam ), which owns several Kempinski hotels in Germany (including the Hotel Bristol in Berlin ). Conradi lives in Switzerland .
