Erwin Holzerkopf

Erwin Philipp Carl Hölzerkopf (born November 2, 1873 in Usingen , † August 30, 1949 in Neukirchen ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a senior teacher and professor, Hölzerkopf studied law in Marburg and Berlin after attending the Marburg high school . During his studies he became a member of the Arminia Marburg fraternity in 1893 . After his exams he worked for the city administration in Marburg from 1902 to 1903 and was head of the court at the Kassel Higher Regional Court. He became an alderman in Iserlohn , where he was first mayor from 1905 . In 1906 the city council of Marburg elected him mayor, but Hölzerkopf refused the election. From 1911 to 1919 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Westphalia for the National Liberal Party . From 1922 he worked as a lawyer and notary in Neukirchen .
