Erwin Heidinger (born May 3, 1935 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Heidinger played in the 1956/57 season for Freiburg FC in what was then the first-class Oberliga Süd . He scored one goal in eleven games, but couldn't prevent his team from relegating. After the Freiburg team missed their promotion a year later , Heidinger moved to the Herne club SV Sodingen . With the Sodernians he rose from the league in 1959 and then managed to get promoted again immediately before he left the club in 1961. For Sodingen, Heidinger completed 58 league games without scoring. There are also 29 second division games in which he scored a goal.

In the summer of 1961, Heidinger moved to Sodinger local rivals Westfalia Herne , for whom only two league games completed in the 1961/62 season . He then left Herne and moved to Arminia Bielefeld , who had just been promoted to the 2nd Division West. With the Arminia, Heidinger qualified a year later for the newly created, second-class Regionalliga West . Heidinger played for Bielefeld until 1967, for which he played 26 games in the 2nd Division West and 73 regional league games.
