Erwin Raupp
Erwin Raupp , also Erwin Raup ( 1863 in Karlsruhe - 1931 in Darmstadt ) was a German court and art photographer in Dresden .
Life
Raupp ran a successful photo studio in the 1880s, in which many artists were photographed, including Karl May . In 1904 he traveled through Moravia for several weeks to test a new portable camera. Many pictures were taken of the everyday life of the population. In 1907 he closed his Dresden studio and moved to Berlin. He left the city in 1912 and moved to Darmstadt. He lived there with his wife, only son and sister-in-law until his death.
