Esa Vuorinen
Esa Vuorinen (born June 25, 1945 in Helsinki , Finland ) is a Finnish cameraman , screenwriter and university lecturer .
Life
After Esa Vuorinen from 1968 to 1972 at the Aalto University in Helsinki, he was able to book his first work as an independent cameraman in 1972 with the Finnish drama Niilon oppivuodet . For this he wrote the script as well as on Home for Christmas . Then Vuorinen concentrated fully on camera work and shot a number of feature films before making an Icelandic film for the first time in 1988 with Im Schatten des Raben . This was followed by two Swedish productions, In the Sign of the Snake and Good Evening, Mr. Wallenberg , for which he was the first Finn to receive the Swedish Guldbagge film award for best camera . With Svenska hjältar and Dubbel-8 , two further nominations should follow. He was nominated more often for the Swedish than for the Finnish film prize Jussi , because only for Runoilija ja muusa and Tango Kabaree he received a Jussi nomination.
In addition to his involvement with the Finnish Society of Cinematographers , of which he has been a member since 1983 and was chairman from 1995 to 2001, Vuorinen taught as a professor at Aalto University from 1999 to 2007. He was also visiting professor at the Dramatiska institutet in Stockholm and an from Lillehammer University .
