Eschers

Eschers is a deserted area in the Elm district of the town of Schlüchtern in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse .

Geographical location

The desert is at a height of 360 m above sea ​​level , about 2.5 km east of Elm. The Escherer district lies east of Brandenstein Castle in the direction of Vollmerz . The exact location is not known. It is believed to be in the area of ​​the Escherberg.

history

The village was in the office of Brandenstein of the rule and later county of Hanau . It was referred to as a desert as early as 1431 and has been a field name since 1596 .
