The Eschweiler Carnival Museum is the district Dürwiß the Rhineland city Eschweiler located on Museum Carnival . The museum has existed since the mid-2000s and maintains the traditions of the regional carnival clubs. After five years of renovation by members of the association, it moved into its current location, a caretaker's apartment provided by the city, on July 3, 2011. The collection used to be in the Eschweiler Heimatmuseum in Drimbornshof .

The sponsor is the Förderverein Karnevalsmuseum Eschweiler e. V. 2007 , which was founded on March 15, 2007 and currently has 200 members, including most of the Eschweiler carnival clubs and marching bands as institutional members. The board of directors includes the president of the Eschweiler Carnival Committee and the Eschweiler mayor.

Exhibits

The museum houses exhibits from the Eschweiler Carnival and Stolberg Carnival , including around 4,000 carnival medals , as well as uniforms, flags and archives from the more than 150-year history of the Eschweiler Carnival. The museum is open to visitors every first and third Saturday of the month and by appointment. Admission is free.
